Preseason Preparation

Summer League is now finished with Sherburn Galaxy coming out on top, once again proving themselves to be one of the most elite teams in North Yorkshire!

We now look forward to preseason training and putting out some strong performances in the 24-25 winter season.

For the first time, we will field a sixth senior squad, Sherburn Lunars, and they will debut in the 4th division of the York & District League. Comprised mostly of U19s this is a great opportunity for those aging out of the juniors to continue enjoying netball with their peers.

20th Anniversary and Presentation Evening

We proudly celebrated our 20th year with current and past members coming together to reflect on what we have built over the last two decades.

It was wonderful to recognise everything we have achieved this season and enjoy some time together off the court.

Regional Netball Awards 2024

Success!

We are extremely proud to announce that, despite a record-breaking number of entries in the 2024 Yorkshire Netball One Awards, Helen Steele has won the Yorkshire Coach of the Year category!

Helen has demonstrated affiliative and democrative leadership in her role, along with great confidence and vision for the future of SNC.

Standing on the shoulders of giants, we continuously seek to build and further the sport we all love. We look forward with excitement to the 24/25 season and wish Helen the very best at the national competition.

We were also shortlisted for Club of the Year and came away with a Highly Commended award, losing out to Chapeltown Netball Club who do some amazing work in their area and were the well deserved winners.

Newly Qualified Club Umpire

We are thrilled to announce that Chloe has passed her C Award assessment. Chloe has been absolutely committed and steadfast in her determination to succeed as an umpire.

Her passion for the game knows no bounds and we have no doubt her achievement will inspire others to take up the whistle!

SNC have a funding program in place for any members undertaking any EN courses and mentorship is available from our officiating lead.
